About AFRINIC-38
The forum where the AFRINIC community reaches consensus on Africa's Internet number resource policies.
The Public Policy Meeting is where the community discusses and agrees the policies governing the distribution and management of IPv4 and IPv6 addresses and Autonomous System Numbers in the AFRINIC service region. Participation is open to everyone: you do not need to be an AFRINIC member, and consensus is determined by the Policy Development Working Group, not by AFRINIC.
AFRINIC-38 continues the work of AFRINIC-37, held in Nairobi in June 2026. Three proposals that did not reach consensus return for further discussion, joined by three new draft proposals, an implementation experience report and the selection of a PDWG Chair. Remote participants follow every session and join the debate on the same terms as those in Cape Town.
